Need A Fire Risk Assessment?

The need to carry out an assessment of the risk from fire has been in law since 1997 and further required in by the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005. There are four categories of persons that have a duty to ensure this is done, an employer; an owner of the premises, anyone who has to any extent control of the premises, and anyone who has control of any premises by virtue of a contract or tenancy.

The assessment of risk from fire can be difficult and complex in some cases, and you should consider commissioning a registered fire consultant to help you. the outcome of the assessment is to determine the severity of harm to occupants, and in doing so there are numerous factors that need to be considered when evaluating the risk.

We have helped clients since 2006 by carrying out their assessment and, where required, we have represented them in meetings with local fire safety enforcement officers. We develop professional and trusting relationships with clients such that they return year after year to engage our services to review their assessment.
